About your guide:
I was so fortunate to grow up in southwest Colorado, in the mountain town of Gunnison, and now have spent the last 30 years living my dream here in beautiful Grand County. I want to share all I love about this place with you. Nothing gives me more joy than to see my trail buddies discovering the magic of the mountains in the most unexpected ways. I live up-valley next to the Colorado River with my retired State Trooper hubby and our "special needs" chocolate laborador, Vesi (which means "water" in Finnish).
Why hike with Dede:
Since Rocky Mountain National Park is in my backyard, I have explored all the "west side" trails (also known as the "best side"). I spent many years on our local Search & Rescue Dog team so I'm handy to have around in case of unexpected events. I'll do my very best to make sure you have delightful mountain memories from our day together on the trails. I'm a history buff too, so if you get me started, I'll be weaving a tapestry of tales from yesteryear.
