About your guide:
I was fortunate to grow up in southwest Colorado, in the mountain town of Gunnison, learning to skiing on an old rope tow, making laps to yodeling music after school. I remember losing my deerskin mittens about once a month as they froze on the rope and went around the bow wheel at the top before I could retrieve them. After 30 years of skiing Winter Park and living my dream here in beautiful Grand County, I want to share all I love about this place with you. Nothing gives me more joy than to see my ski buddies with a big broad smile and hear them whopping it up all the way down the slopes.
Why ski with Dede:
I love to ski anything.....from the greenest slopes to the steepest ones so we'll go wherever makes you laugh the loudest. I especially enjoy skiing with women of all ages who might feel a bit fearful or intimidated about the big mountain experience. My female friends will tell you that nothing gives me more pleasure than seeing a ski buddy experience a breakthrough in confidence and courage.
I'm a history geek too, so if you get me started, I'll tell you all sorts of tales from yesteryear about the Fraser Valley and beyond. I love to hike and backpack in the summer and live up-valley next to the Colorado River with my retired State Trooper hubby and our big hearted chocolate lab.
