Ian Danby

My 6-year-old daughter took a two-hour private lesson with Ian a few days ago. She is at dark green level and is trying to learn parallel. Ian is very friendly and obviously knows how to show the techniques to kids in a way they can understand. The 2-hr session proved to be very helpful on improving my daughter's technique, which I could see right afterward. Furthermore, Ian provided a detailed analysis of my daughter's current status and recommendations on how to improve her next. I would highly recommend Ian.

I just came back from a group lesson with Ian and he is really an amazing instructor! He's positive, upbeat, takes the time to explain everything, expertly corrects what needs improvement, and makes you feel completely confident on the slopes. If I were staying at mount snow for another day, I'd definitely go with him again!! You can only improve with him as your teacher.

Skiin Ian is a very patient instructor and a very accomplished skier. The most important thing is that he is very observant and can spot my mistakes with just one glance. Learnt many useful skiing techniques and drills from him. Would highly recommend him to anybody who wishes to perfect their skiing technique.

I have know Ian for almost 30 years and skied with him before he began teaching. his skiing skills and teaching techniques have helped me and many other skiers progress. his easy way of conversing and getting his ideas across have always been useful to me. I have been in his group lessons on several occasions, as well as skied with him on many different mountains from New York, to Maine, to Wyoming and Western Canada, and always enjoy being around him on the mountain.

Ian is a wonderful instructor. He is very thorough and he explains things in a way that make sense. He takes his time learning about your technique and then comes up with a plan of what to do. He does all of this while being quite entertaining and enjoyable to be with

I've known Ian for a few years now but have never got the opportunity to be in a ski lesson of his until this weekend. I felt completely at ease, had fun and most importantly learned several new skills. Ian quickly figured out the level I was at and worked with me on my level. I really enjoyed the time and came away with new skills and a more confident skier.

They don't call him Ski'in Ian for nothin !! An excellent skier and teacher who keeps it real and makes it all fun. He will vastly improve your skiing ability at any level from beginner to advanced, and on varied terrains, including POW-da ! Thanks Ian...He'll always be your friend on a powder day, and every day !

Excellent Instructor!! I am a snowboarder and wanted to learn to ski. I took a couple of private lessons with Ian and was able to ski at an at intermediate level quickly. He explained the fundamentals and I was able to take my snowboarding skills and apply them to skiing. I highly recommend him as an instructor.

Ian has been a great role model and mentor for my new role as a kid teacher learning to teach kids.
