About

Hey, I'm John.

I have a huge passion for sharing the learning experience with skiers, riders, and mountain bikers.

I am fortunate enough to work as a trainer in the Aspen Academy, teaching other instructors (and learning from each of them as well!)

I believe that the learning experience should be valuable, and that it should also be intrinsically enjoyable. As such, I am always finding ways to make lessons fun while advancing skills.

I have spent the last 14 years always striving to improve as both a teacher and a student.

I am currently spending many of the days when I am not teaching pursuing my level 3 certification on skis.

I spend my days off bringing a fun and playful style to the whole mountain on either my
board or my twin-tip skis.

I spend my summers working as a bike mechanic and mental skills coach with a professional downhill mountain bike team.

I spend my off-seasons camping and riding bikes with my lovely wife.
