About

I love to teach all ages, but my sweet spot is children 3-6, 10 to16-year-old girls, and beginner to intermediate adults.  You can trust that I will take good care of your kids while they are with me!  If you are a beginner and an adult, I am patient, flexible, and can help take the fear out of trying something new!

Amanda is amazing and does an excellent job in showing patience when teaching an old do a new trick. I was a big skier back in my early 20's, but now in my mid 40's, I wanted to learn how to snowboard and have been on a hill in 20 years. Amanda adjusted her approach and really taught in a was that resonated with me, which allowed me within two lessons to go down the mountain with confidence. I could make turns, traverse the mountain and get on and off the life with ease, when she isn't taking me down when she falls! :-) Fantastic motivator and teacher, I was exceptionally pleased with my progress through her teachings!

Dear Amanda, It is a pleasure to take a lesson with you as YOU wear a smile and your kindness is contagious as so many of the the mountain staffers greet you when you pass them. You have positive energy with excellent technical instruction. Thank you for 2 amazing mornings of Snowboarding. I especially enjoyed the challenge of switching to a non goofy lead foot and trying to convince my body to go with it. Might I add, I had my body gave me a little or maybe a lot of resistance. That made leading with my goofy a so much easier. Also having tweaked my basic body positioning by removing the lead of my shoulders to my hips made all the ease of an easier toe side turn. Ah... the little things in life make all the difference as well as the company we keep. Thank you for 2 amazing ski days! Looking forward to next time….

My son Jake and I took a weekend trip to Mount Snow at the end of January. I was not sure what to expect because he has never been snowboarding. Jake does have a little experience on a skateboard and ripstick but not much. I purchased a private lesson with Amanda and I could not have been happier with the results. Her progressive teaching techniques had Jake safely linking turns within a half hour. Before I knew it, he was heading up the chairlift in the learning area and actually snowboarding. I would highly recommend a lesson from Amanda for anyone looking to take up snowboarding. She will definitely make the experience an enjoyable one.
